So after watching this i was curious is there is a way to make a 3D helmet split apart to make it easier to put on/off specially if the pads get on the way when putting it on

Great vid. Agree with all stated. I have ten years of using customer grade 3D printers. This is the nobrainerest easiest to use and produce immaculate parts.

I've been watching vids non stop for 3 days now to learn as much a s possible. This is the 1st video that actually shows models as well as gadgets/tools. I'm interested in printing out detailed models to paint. Maybe a vase lol.

Time and time again, I always come back to this video as the gold standard tutorial for sanding, filling, and priming helmets. Nothing else provides such a perfect process to follow.

You have a a rustoleum gold on the thumbnail, but used a different paint. I have the gold as a base and the anodized red on my iron man helmet. I haven’t used the red yet tho

I know this vid is quite old now, but I wonder if you can help me. I want to disassemble my Art Asylum P1 phaser, but it just doesn’t want to come apart. I’ve removed the battery cover and undone the two philips screws on the underside, but the top and base don’t want to separate. can you give me any tips?

They should just extend the printer and skip the lid as on the K2 now. Put the filament sensor inside like on the K1 or better, in the printerhead like on bambi printers so you don’t waste filament when empty the spool. ^^

At the 120 grit part, ill use a torch before wiping the dust. This melts that plastic dust into the layers. Then i hit it with the 220 and up. It helps reduce the intitial sanding with 120 grit, but i also use a cheap printer that doesnt have the best quality so the layers are much more noticeable

What resin printer did you print this with? I'm looking into getting a resin printer to go with my bambu lab, also to print one of these, but I know most resin printers dont allow that large or length of printing. So if you joined the blade together in pieces, I'd love to know how. Thanks!!

Would you recommend using a sander to save time?

Looks sweet my man. I’ve been printing a ton of their models and this was one of my favs as well. Haven’t gotten to paint them yet but I picked up a few tips from your videos. I have the same feeling as having my childhood right in front of me. It’s amazing what we can do today with printing. Look forward to watching more of your videos.

the index blade was actually cut off intentionally for a scene that was scrapped with John Saxon finding the finger which was from the build scene, you also have to tuck the leather up under the armature when wearing it, you'll get much better mobility

I got very luck and picked up the base model on FB. I now have to buy the exstention for the 5kg spools I have. 🥰

Is it possible to apply a layer of clear resin over the clear coat to protect the paint?

What are your thoughts instead of using Bondo you use plastic wood and acetone mix and apply with a paint brush?

Do I do the wet sand after the filler primer dries or straight away after applying?

I'm doing a large print. I was wondering, some gaps and wall putty is not thick enough. It's like once I sand it down O can still see the gaps. Anything thicker I can use?
